Information we collect:
::

Generally, the information we gather on our website falls into two categories: (1) information you supply when you register to become a member or when you send us correspondence, and (2) tracking information collected as you navigate through our site, ie. browser type and Internet Protocol (IP) address.

Personally identifiable information:::

To use certain features on our sites, we ask you to register to become a member. When you register, we collect personally identifiable information about you including your name, email address, username and password. We may also ask for some additional information when you sign up for products and/or services, or report a problem with our site. We use this information to communicate with you, process your orders and to help improve our site.

When you visit our site, we may also collect your browser type, access time, and/or IP address, and keep records of this information. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers connected to the internet to identify your computer so that data (such as the web pages you request) can be sent to you. Your IP address does not tell us who you are.

Cookies:::

Once you're a registered user, we place a "cookie" on your computer. "Cookies" are small identifiers sent from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive, similar to a license plate, that help us to recognise and personalise your visit every time you login.

Cookies are not used to get personal data from your hard drive or your email. To protect your privacy, we do not use cookies to store or transmit any personal information about you on the internet.

You can reject cookies by changing your browser settings. If you are a member of 10000StepsAustralia.com this is not recommended. If you reject our cookies, it's possible that web pages may not properly load, your access to certain information might be denied or you might have to enter information about yourself more than once.

How your information will be used:

::

Our primary goal in collecting information is to provide you with a personalised experience when you are a member of our site and to make our site more valuable to you.

Under no circumstances will Walk with Attitude release your name, email address or any other personal details to any other member, party or organisation without your written consent.

From time to time we may share aggregated demographic information with our partners, or create statistics based on users' frequency, intensity of exercise, etc. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

Security and passwords:::

The personally identifiable information we collect is securely stored within our database, and we use standard, industry-wide procedures such as encryption, firewalls and Secure Socket Layers (SSL) for protecting your information.

Any information you include in a message you post to any message board, discussion group, or other public posting area on our sites is available to anyone with internet access. If you don't want people to know your name or email address, do not to include it in any message you post publicly.

We recommend that you not disclose your password or login ID to anyone.

Our Email Policy:::

We really do respect your privacy and your time.

Your email address is required during registration.

You will receive emails from us during your 10,000 Steps workplace challenge.

We only send emails that are in relation to the 10,000 Steps challenge this includes pre-challenge, during challenge and one week after challenge end.

Under no circumstances will Walk with Attitude release your name, email address or any other personal details to any other member, party or organisation, with the exception of the company that has paid for your membership. Your workplace coordinator will have access to your email address and all data you enter.

The Challenge weekly newsletter, and the Checkpoint notification postcards (this email is sent when your team reaches a location checkpoint) contain an easy, automated way for you to cease receiving these emails. Simply follow the Unsubscribe at the end of the email or visit your ‘Passport’ and then ‘advanced preferences’ once you have logged in.

Periodic ‘Challenge Status’ related emails (such as: Team building, challenge start and nearing challenge end) do not offer an option to unsubscribe. Neither do emails from your Team Captain and Challenge Coordinator using our messaging system, as they are necessary to provide the service that has been requested and paid for by your workplace.

If you have received unwanted, unsolicited email sent via this system or purporting to be sent via this system, please forward a copy of that email with your comments to support@walkingwithattitude.com for our review.
